An invitation to suspend the time and to dream with poetic analog pictures
"A photography is an encounter, a crush, an emotion to offer"
La Maison de l’argentique is a fine art photo gallery of film and polaroid photography.
Images of travels and staging are from the french artist Cyril Manzini.
The original silver prints are numbered in limited edition and are created in his atelier in Paris. There, he brings life to his analog photography, thanks to artisanal know-how. In the same unique place, he creates giant Polaroid reproductions thanks to natural pigment inks impressions.

Portraitist, the author likes to travel and photograph people who have lived, who tell a story through their eyes and who thus transmit an emotion.
This contemporary art gallery is made up of different kind of photos: landscape photography, street photography, animals or portraits captured during his various adventures. They make up the story of his encounters and poetic moments spent on the other side of the world. All these trips then feed him in order to create imaginaries. In this sense, his work as a fashion photographer leads him to photograph women for fashion advertising campaigns, to carry out nude studies, to study the fall of the garment on their bodies but also to photograph still life in his studio. In all these scenes, light plays a preponderant role that he strives to immortalize in the most subtle and elegant way possible.
He likes to shoot with his Rolleiflex or Mamiya 67 camera but in large format he takes time to feel the intensity of a scene in front of him before triggering.
La Maison de l’argentique is also an invitation to suspend the time and dream with poetic pictures ! This is the mentality of the artist, who describes each creation as a long artistic walk, diving into the universe of analog photography.
