What is La Maison de l'argentique ?
The Maison de l’argentique is an art gallery made up of analog photographs. The works are unique or in a very limited edition and made in an artisanal manner. We offer a selection of emerging artists that you can meet several times a year for temporary exhibitions. La Maison de l'argentique was founded in 2020 by Cyril Manzini
What is the purpose of La Maison de l'argentique ?
Where is the art gallery based ?
The gallery is currently online but we are based in Paris and organise temporary exhibitions.
How are silver prints made ?
They are made by hand in the traditional way in a darkroom by the artist or with a workshop with which we work for large formats.
How are polaroid prints made ?
From the original Polaroid, we scan it then we make the fine-art print on natural art paper. We do not modify the colors of the Polaroid so that your experience is as close as possible to the original.
Is it possible to see the photographies before to buy them ?
Yes, between the exhibitions we can arrange an private appointment in Paris to present you the art photographies you are interrested in.
How are the photos sent ?
I want to collect the work in Paris, is this possible ?
